Individual Wellbeing Plans
What are Wellbeing Plans:
Workforce wellbeing plans are personalised, proactive support plans designed to help employees understand, maintain, and protect their wellbeing whilst working in emotionally demanding roles. Built around a holistic view of wellbeing, they encourage individuals to reflect on the factors that influence their physical, emotional, and psychological health, helping them recognise what they need to stay well and perform at their best.
How do Wellbeing Plans work in practice:
Starting with a group wellbeing workshop and through a structured one-to-one conversation, employees are supported to identify wellbeing strengths, potential stressors, early warning signs and practical strategies that help them maintain balance and resilience. The plan is documented and can be reviewed regularly with managers, creating opportunities for supportive conversations, early intervention, and shared accountability for wellbeing. Much like a person-centred care plan, the focus is on understanding the individual and what helps them thrive.
Why are Wellbeing Plans effective:
In health, social care, and education settings, employees often dedicate significant emotional energy to supporting others. Wellbeing plans create space for individuals to prioritise their own health and wellbeing before stress, burnout or compassion fatigue become overwhelming. By promoting self-awareness, early intervention and supportive workplace conversations, wellbeing plans help improve resilience, reduce sickness absence, increase staff retention and create a workforce that feels supported, valued and able to care for others without compromising their own wellbeing.
Our Process
Wellbeing Micro-Workshop
A short, engaging workshop introducing the importance of workforce wellbeing, compassion fatigue, burnout, and self-care. This session helps staff understand why prioritising their own wellbeing is essential to providing sustainable, high-quality care.
1-1 Individual Conversation
Each employee participates in a confidential one-to-one conversation to explore their wellbeing strengths, challenges, early warning signs and the strategies that help them stay well and perform at their best.
Plan with Purpose
Using the information gathered, employees create their own personalised wellbeing plan. The plan outlines practical actions, support mechanisms and wellbeing strategies designed to promote resilience and prevent burnout.
Leadership Implementation
Managers receive guidance on how to use wellbeing plans effectively, creating supportive wellbeing conversations, recognising early signs of stress and embedding wellbeing into everyday leadership practice.
